Meet the YET! Team

Meet our amazing team who make The YET! Program happen

Dr. Sandy Rogelberg

Dr. Sandy Rogelberg is an Educational Psychologist in the Reading and Elementary Education Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been involved with the YET! Program since its inception in 2016 and has worked with team members to develop the curriculum and co-lead the program. With expertise in motivation theory, Dr. Rogelberg understands the importance of growth mindset and its role in helping students engage in learning, especially when the work is challenging. She also recognizes the need for students to build self-regulation skills and other “non-academic” skills, also included in the YET! Program. As a teacher educator and researcher, her work focuses on cognitive learning principles as well as the role growth mindset and motivation play in student learning.

Dr. Steven Rogelberg

Dr. Steven Rogelberg holds the title of Chancellor’s Professor at UNC Charlotte for distinguished national, international, and interdisciplinary contributions.  He is a Professor of Organizational Science, Management, and Psychology as well as the Director of Organizational Science. He has over 100 publications addressing issues such as team effectiveness, leadership, engagement, health and employee well-being, meetings at work, and organizational research methods. Dr. Rogelberg has a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

Ashleigh Dickson

Ashleigh is a 5th-year student in the Organizational Science Ph.D. program. She joined YET! four years ago and has helped both in the classroom and with developing YET! online. Ashleigh is our video editor and website builder. She loves adding fun animations to the videos and making sure they are enjoyed by everyone. Ashleigh joined YET! because she wanted to be involved in a program that makes a difference and believes that growth mindset truly creates a lasting impact on the students we work with.

Jack Flinchum

Jack is a 5th year Ph.D. student in the Organizational Science program at UNC Charlotte. He joined the YET! team his 2nd year. Since then, he has helped run YET! in several classes and helped develop the virtual YET! platform as the host. He joined YET! as a way to expand the teachings of growth mindset, which he believes in and values tremendously. He loves how impactful the program is and how much students grow throughout the process.

Amber Greenwood

Amber is a PhD Candidate in the Organizational Science program at UNC Charlotte. She joined YET! 3 years ago and loves to watch students develop as they learn the power of a growth mindset. Amber is very proud to be the voice of Crane the Brain!

Katie Kavanagh

Katie is a 5th-year student in the Organizational Science PhD program at UNC Charlotte. She joined YET! four years ago and co-taught the power of the word “yet” in classrooms, and has since helped adapt and create the YET! online curriculum. She loves seeing students develop their own growth mindsets and learn to persevere during challenges. She created the grow-ga component of YET! online and believes moving our bodies is an important (and fun!) component of growing our brains and learning.

Liana Kreamer

Liana is a fourth-year student in the Organizational Science program at UNCC. She has been involved with YET! for the past three years, and assisted in the transition to YET! online by creating interactive forms, editing videos, and contributing to the updated script. She loves teaching growth mindset – and watching students apply our lessons to their everyday lives. It is an inspiring and rewarding experience!

The YET! Team is constantly evolving as students join and graduate from the Organizational Science Ph.D. Program. Below are our previous members, each of whom played an important role in making the YET! Program what it is today.
